Zakopane - Tatra Mountains PRIVATE TOUR110.00 PLN
The Tatras are part of the Western Carpathians and are called the "Polish Alps". Tatra National Park is famous for its beautiful valleys (Chochołowska, Kościeliska), breathtaking lakes such as Morskie Oko and Czarny Staw, as well as many scenic attractions created by nature. Climbing enthusiasts will find peaks such as Giewont, Kasprowy Wierch and - the most difficult to climb - Rysy (2499m). Zakopane is also worth visiting - the largest mountain resort in Poland, located at the foot of the Tatra Mountains.
Zakopane is located in the Spisko-Gubałowskie Foothills, in Rowo Podtatrzański and in the Tatra Mountains, on several streams, the waters of which eventually flow into the Zakopianka River (tributary of the Biały Dunajec River). It is the highest situated city in Poland. Within the administrative boundaries of the city there is a part of the Tatra Mountains (with the highest point being the top of Świnica - 2301 m above sea level). Apart from the Tatra National Park, the city lies at an altitude of 750–1126 m above sea level. (Gubałówka), and the proper part - built-up, up to about 900 m above sea level. The central point of Zakopane - the intersection of ul. Krupówki and Kościuszko - is located at an altitude of 838 m above sea level. In the north, the Gubałówka range extends, and in the south, Giewont towers over the city.
